Commercial Door Locks Near Me

If you are looking for commercial door locks anywhere in Arizona, C&I Show Hardware And Security Systems is here for you!

Commercial Door Lock Types

Here are the main commercial door lock types on the market today:

Deadbolt Locks

Often used as a supplement to an existing cylindrical lockset, deadbolt locks will provide an extra measure of protection against any potential break-ins. Deadbolts can also be combined with a door pull. Deadbolt locks are great because installation is a very cheap and quick process. These locks can be installed and utilized in any door featuring a standard bore hole.

Electronic Locks

Electronic locks are also commonly referred to as keypad locks. These locks are ideal for doorways that need a secure, yet non-key solution. Electronic locks, of course, will eliminate the need to issue and re-issue keys. Keypad locks generally come with a cylinder or key override, which will require special door preparations to be made ahead of installation.

Cylindrical Lever Locks

Cylindrical lever locks are locksets that are installed by boring two circular holes into the door. This is the most commonly used lockset today. What’s great about these locks is they come with an array of features, including grades, styles, functions and finishes that can all be customized.

Cylindrical Knob Locks

These knob locks are not quite as popular as the lever locks simply due to the current accessibility requirements. Like the lever locks, these knob locks are available with various functions and capabilities. Knob locksets are only recommended by the professionals for openings that aren’t in compliance with ADA requirements.

Mortise Locks

Before installation, mortise locks will require a pocket in the edge of the door. This is the area in which the lock case is lifted. Typically more expensive than cylindrical locks, these locks offer more strength and durability overall. These locks are designed for areas with heavy use and traffic. Mortise locks are ideal for large businesses/industrial buildings.

Commercial Door Lock Benefits

Here are a few of the benefits associated with installing commercial door locks:

Customized Control

It is very easy to customize and control these commercial door locks. This means you can simply give access to any individuals you desire. You can easily take away access, as well. If you would like to specify time frames for when you’ll allow access, you can do this too. Changing passcodes is a simple process that will never require the services of a locksmith.

Alarm System

The alarm system is one of the biggest advantages of a commercial door lock. Any individual who does not possess a passcode or swipe card will not be able to enter. If anyone tries to break in, the alarm will automatically sound. Installation of an alarm system with the door locks is effortless and affordable.

Timesheet Tracking

Commercial door locks have the ability to track the exact time of entry and exit for any individuals. This is a great tool for employers keeping track of their employees or trying to solve any crimes/thefts.

Access Control Card Reader: What Are The Benefits?

If you are searching for “access control card reader“, this article will highlight the reasons why so many are choosing this form of access for the workplace.

Benefits Of Access Control Card Readers

Access control card readers are the most cost-effective option out there for individuals managing jobsites. Here is a look at four of the biggest benefits associated with this form of access:

1. Data Gathering

Access card control readers will efficiently collect data. This data can be used to track any irregularities, if need be. For example, is one of your employees leaving early or showing up late consistently? If so, is there any loss of materials associated with some irregularities you may find, according to the control readers? Access control logs will certainly come in handy for managers and fellow employees. If any sort of crime occurs at the workplace, these readers can provide valuable data.

2. Automated Control

Electronic card readers will never get tired or worn out. Unlike mistakes that can occur with human security officers, these readers will never give out access or credentials to the wrong individuals. Never worry about losing keys or losing track of access again with these readers.

3. Manage Remotely

This may be the biggest benefit of investing in these readers. Because the cards are electronic, they can be managed remotely over secure network connections. This can be such a great benefit to those who manage multiple jobsites, remotely.

4. Scalability

The price associated with provisioning a new card is very low, fortunately. Plus, the creation of a new card simply requires a few minutes of labor. High volume tasks like changing access for the entire team can be a quick process, as well. When compared to the costs of getting new keys and changing out access, these card readers are a very cost-effective option.

What is a Door Access Control System

Types of Access Control Systems

These are the different types of access control:

Mandatory Access Control

According to Techtopia Mandatory Access Control by definition is the highest level of access control reserved primarily for government facilities like military bases. Due to the nature of these facilities, they must have stronger access controls since they house valuable resources and are often targeted by hostile groups. The core security of MAC is based on a security policy which is defined by the administrator of the environment and end users have no say in the security policy. Essentially a policy is set in place to create classifications of access for users and then the users are assigned access to facilities based on their individual classification.

Discretionary Access Control

Discretionary Access Control provides the lowest level of access control as stated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). As an access control policy, DAC is determined by the object’s owner or someone else who has been granted access to that object. This allows the owner to grant access based on a need to know basis to a user who can perform any of the following four tasks: pass information, grant privilege to other users, modify security settings for other users, and change rules for access.

Role-Based Access Control

According to Tedsystems Role-Based Access Control, is the most frequently requested type of access controls. RBAC systems assign access to users accessed based upon their role versus assigning it to an individual user. Since access is assigned based on the user’s role the amount of information depends on what level the user is based on the organizational hierarchy are positions responsibility, for instance, the CFO would have more access than a bank teller because an executive has more responsibility than an entry-level employee.

Door Access Control System

A door access control system is one of the most affordable types of commercial access control commonly used in Data centers, Defense, Airports, Homes, Server rooms, Offices, and more according to Elprocus.com. Door access control systems can control access to your home or commercial building with electronic door locks, contactless readers, multi-technology readers, card readers (old technology), and biometric security readers.

Biometric Access Control System

Biometric access control uses eye scanners, fingerprint readers or hand geometry readers to allow access into your building. Biometric security readers cannot be transferred like keys, cards or number sequences can. The person being granted access must be physically present in order to gain access to your area or building. C&I Show offers professional installation of commercial biometric access control systems.

Security Systems Near Me

If you are searching for “security systems near me“, C&I Show Hardware And Security Systems in Phoenix, AZ has you covered! This company currently offers top-notch security systems, including automatic door openers, access control systems and commercial steel doors.

Let’s explore these security systems and the benefits your commercial property can expect!

Commercial Security System Benefits

Here are a few of the benefits associated with installing commercial security systems:

  • Theft And Vandalism Reduction
  • Reinforcement Of Authorized/Unauthorized Areas
  • Faster Response From Authorities
  • Lower Insurance Rates

Employee and outside theft are far too common and problematic in today’s business world. These crimes can cause major financial burdens for property/business owners. Installing security cameras, for example, will not only provide proof of the crime, the very presence of the cameras are likely to deter the thief from even attempting the crime.

Most businesses will include areas where public access is denied. Access control systems will allow you to control who has access to which areas in the building. This will give you peace of mind as the owner, knowing exactly who can and can’t enter an area. Access control systems also allow for removal of access for former employees.

A quicker response from the authorities is one of the biggest benefits of installing security systems. Whenever an alarm is triggered, authorities are alerted immediately to the potential crime taking place. Perpetrators are more likely to be caught, prosecuted and discouraged from even committing the crimes. Without security systems in place, it may be difficult for any employees to contact the authorities during an ongoing theft.

Many insurance companies will offer discounts to businesses that have security systems already in place. Commercial security systems will put properties at a much lower risk of using insurance claims. This, of course, will lead to lower insurance rates.

What Is An Access Control System?

There are actually three different types of access control:

  • Mandatory Access Control (MAC)
  • Discretionary Access Control (DAC)
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Mandatory Access Control is the highest level of access control, usually utilized in government and/or military facilities. Security policies are set in place for classifications of access. Role-Based Access Control is the most requested access control system because of its level of security and affordable price. With this control system, users have the ability to set security preferences. The lowest level of access control is the Discretionary Access Control. Just like the Role-Based Access Control, the user is free to set security preferences with the Discretionary Access Control.
