All exterior lighting should be checked at least once per month. Check the lights to ensure they all work properly and have functioning bulbs. Inclement weather can always cause disturbances to outdoor lighting, so you may need to readjust them for optimal performance.

If cameras are included in your security package for either your home or business, try to examine them each day. Doing so frequently will help keep your property safe. Check all monitoring and recording devices to verify each camera is recording properly and producing clear visuals.

Test The Control Panel

The control panel is essentially the brain and heart of your security system. Every sensor signal will pass through the control panel. The panel will come with a test mode, which scans to make sure all components are functioning. It is never a bad idea to visually inspect the panel, as well, to make sure there are no signs of wear and tear or loose wiring.

Request Annual Security Inspections
